                • 25-minute halves: water/substitution break every 6 minutes (6-, 12-, and 18-minute marks)
                • 30-minute halves: water/substitution break every 7 minutes (7-, 14-, and 22-minute marks)
                • 40-minute halves: water/substitution break every 10 minutes (10-, 20-, and 30-minute marks)
                • 45-minute halves: water/substitution break every 11 minutes (11-, 22-, and 33-minute marks)
        • If the temperature is 98-100 degrees F, decrease the half by 6 minutes.
        • If the temperature is 100-102 degrees F, decrease the half by 6 minutes and allow for managed or "free" substitutions.
        • Cancel the match if the temperature exceeds 102 degrees F.
Match rescheduling

Matches are not rescheduled unless the cancellation was a result of weather. Coaches shall not contact each other to arrange a reschedule. Only the Regional Commissioner(s) will, to the best of their ability, reschedule matches. All reschedules must be completed a minimum of 72 hours prior to the match start time to allow time for referees to sign up for the match.

Tie break procedures

        • In the event more than two (2) teams are tied: When one (1) or more teams are eliminated at a level and two (2) or more teams are still tied, the remaining teams restart the tie-break procedure.
        • Tie break criteria:
                • The Area Director or Program Director has the authority to make the final decision with regard to tie breakers.
                • Head to Head competition.
                • Highest Goal Differential (max of 3 goals/game averaged over Seed games played)
                • Least Goals Scored Against (max of 3 goals/game averaged over Seed games played)
                • Goals Scored For (maximum of 3 goals/game averaged  over games played)
                • Coin flip or random process to be determined by the Program or Area Director. The head coach, assistant, manager, team parent or Regional Commissioner of each team must be present unless the head coach gives consent otherwise. Except for the Regional Commissioner, the team representative must be listed on the team roster.
Teams deemed by majority vote of the Area Board to have gained an advantage in the standings due to a forfeit by that team, shall be excluded from receiving medals or advancing in the playoffs.

Area 11-Q Playoffs by invitation only

Area 11-Q playoffs are by invitation only. The Regional Commissioner and/or Area Director reserve the right to not invite a team to participate in the Area 11-Q playoffs for any reason including, but not limited to, coach and/or spectator reported issues.
